As Public Relations and Outreach Director, Ahmad Shir Abid develops and implements outreach strategies to engage target communities and stakeholders in alignment with organizational goals. He builds relationships with community leaders and organizations to foster collaboration, oversees the creation of outreach materials, and plans events, workshops, and presentations to promote the organization’s mission. Additionally, he manages the outreach team, handling hiring, training, and evaluations to ensure high performance and the achievement of organizational standards.
Story
Ahmad Shir Abid began his academic journey with a focus on Agricultural Economics in Afghanistan. Over the past two decades, he has amassed a wealth of professional experience across various sectors, including administration, the US Department of State, airport operations management, customer service, social services, and security.
Driven by a profound commitment to aiding those in need, Ahmad has dedicated over 20 years to community service. His passion for helping others led him to establish community-based organizations in Washington state. He has also worked with prominent non-profits such as No One Left Behind and co-founded the Afghan American Cultural Association (AACA), demonstrating his unwavering commitment to supporting immigrants, refugees, and disadvantaged communities.
Ahmad's extensive practical experience is complemented by his academic achievements. He holds a bachelor's degree in administrative management from Central Washington University and a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from Nangarhar University. These qualifications have enriched his expertise and continue to enhance his professional pursuits.
